Did you know?
Corsican vineyards are among the most committed to organic conversion. With 22% of the island's vineyards, or 1,234 hectares, Corsica ranks first among French regions in terms of organic viticulture.
Starting in southern Corsica, more specifically in the regions of Sartène and Figari, the conversion to organic viticulture has spread throughout Corsica, including the excellent and renowned Patrimonio appellation.
Corsica has no fewer than 99 estates that proudly display their entire production as organic. Thus, all of the island's estates are showing a willingness to convert to organic farming.
In this spirit, many winegrowers want to go even further and move towards biodynamics.
